Content Series Creation Process

The Process

A Content Series is a structured set of 5-10 pieces of content sharing a connected theme, similar to a short-form TV series, where each piece is delivered in a logical sequence. This format allows for strategic testing of a central message or theme across multiple iterations, serving as a valuable tool to measure engagement and performance. After the initial 5-10 pieces, the series undergoes an assessment to determine whether it should continue, pivot, or conclude.

The purpose of a Content Series is to gauge which themes resonate best by comparing the results of one series against others. If a series achieves notable success, it may be extended indefinitely or inspire similar content spin-offs to further capitalize on the successful theme.

As a cornerstone of the Standard Content Marketing Strategy, the Content Series follows the Ideation, Creation, and Distribution process. Each series aims to contribute to the brand’s narrative and maintain a clear connection to its products, services, or values, aligning with the principles of Content Development Theory: test, assess, and continue or discard as needed.

Process Outline

#1

Define Your Brand

Collect your Brand Pillars, Brand Essentials, Style Guides, or the AI-Brand Blueprint (if available). This forms the foundation of your AI’s brand knowledge. This crucial first step involves inputting all the essential elements that define your brand’s identity. Think of it as creating a comprehensive brand bible for your AI.

#2

Content Series Ideation

Develop a structured content creation plan by establishing a cohesive theme, selecting the media format (videos, articles, or podcasts), and designing a consistent template for each piece. Then, produce individual content pieces, ensuring they all contribute to the central theme and provide value to the audience.

#3

Content Series Creation

Content Series Strategy: Develop a strategy for ongoing content series, such as recurring blog posts, video tutorials, or podcast episodes. Define the key messages, brand tone, and desired outcomes for each series.

Content Development:

  • Articles: Write blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies to educate, inform, and subtly promote the brand.
  • Videos: Create long-form (tutorials, webinars) and short-form (social media clips, ads) videos that convey visual narratives effectively.
  • Podcasts: Record full episodes and clips discussing relevant topics, featuring interviews and brand-related discussions.

Content Review & Approval: Review content for consistency in messaging, tone, and visuals that align with the brand identity. Ensure all content includes a call-to-action (CTA) that directs the audience toward a specific marketing function, such as product purchase or event attendance.

Content Series Generator GPT

#4

Content Series Distribution

Platform Selection: Choose platforms based on where your target audience is most active (e.g., social media, email, website, YouTube, podcast directories). Consider how each type of content performs on different platforms.

Content Splintering: Break down each piece of content into smaller, shareable formats:

  • Articles into social media posts or infographics.
  • Videos into clips, GIFs, or quote cards.
  • Podcasts into soundbites or blog posts summarizing key points.

Scheduling & Publishing: Create a content calendar for consistent publishing across all channels. Use automation tools to schedule posts and ensure content is distributed at optimal times.

Audience Engagement & Promotion: Actively promote content through paid ads, influencer collaborations, or email newsletters. Engage with your audience by responding to comments, asking questions, and encouraging shares.

#5

Content Series Management

Analyze Performance: Continuously track the performance of each piece of content (e.g., views, engagement, conversions) to determine what works best.

Iterate & Improve: Use insights from performance analysis to improve ideation, creation, and distribution in the next cycle. Adapt content formats, messaging, or platforms based on what resonates with the audience.

Custom GPT Creation Process

The Process

The Custom GPT Creation Process will allow you create a Custom GPT using the AI-Branding Academy’s standard template and methodology.

The Custom GPT Creation Process provides a structured framework for users to develop tailored AI solutions that align with their business or personal branding needs. It begins by defining the brand’s core pillars, such as the brand name, core values, and avatars, ensuring the Custom GPT reflects the brand’s identity. Users then select the specific role the GPT will play, like a Digital Marketing Strategist, allowing the AI to focus its capabilities on delivering relevant assistance.

As users progress, they clarify their objectives, identify the primary audience, and specify desired outcomes, such as creating effective marketing strategies. They also establish the communication tone and response format, choosing between multiple-choice options or free text input. By setting specific rules, such as avoiding jargon, the Custom GPT maintains clarity and relevance in its outputs. Finally, all gathered information is compiled into a structured format that includes the Custom GPT’s name, description, and operational instructions, empowering users to leverage their AI tools effectively.

Process Outline

Resources

Associated Tutorials

#1

Define Brand Pillars

Brand Pillars are the fundamental elements that define and support the overarching identity of your brand. They provide a foundation for how the brand presents itself in the market.

Brand Pillar Process

#2

Create GPT Name

The “NAME” component serves as the unique identifier for the Custom GPT, making it clear what purpose the GPT serves. When specifying the NAME, it should be descriptive yet concise, ideally reflecting the primary function or outcome the GPT is designed to achieve. For example, “AI-Branding: Customer Avatar Creator” quickly informs the user that this GPT will focus on creating a detailed customer avatar. If possible, try to fit your Brand Name or Acronym in the GPT Name.

#3

Write Description

The DESCRIPTION explains the Custom GPT’s role within a larger framework or system. It may detail the broader context or specific usage of the GPT, as seen in “The Brand Vision Creator is a component of the AI-Branding Framework utilized by the AI-Branding Academy.” This context helps users understand where the GPT fits within related tools or processes. Ensure the DESCRIPTION is comprehensive enough to clarify the GPT’s purpose without delving into operational details.

#4

Create Primary Directive

The PRIMARY DIRECTIVE sets the overarching objective of the GPT, defining its professional “role” and goal. For example, specifying that it should “act as a branding professional” to help users create a “brand vision” or similar component ensures that the GPT provides expert guidance. When crafting this directive, consider the professional perspective and primary purpose needed to achieve accurate and practical results.

#5

Create General Rules

GENERAL RULES are foundational guidelines that the GPT should follow throughout the interaction. They cover essential conduct, such as limiting questions to one at a time, offering answer options, and avoiding complex language. Rules like not sharing specific instructions ensure confidentiality and simplify the user experience. When setting GENERAL RULES, focus on what will maintain clarity, structure, and security within the GPT’s operation.

#6

Create Definitions

The DEFINITIONS component clarifies specific terms and concepts the GPT will reference. This ensures that both the GPT and the user have a shared understanding of critical terms, which minimizes confusion and aligns responses with intended meanings. Include terms that may have industry-specific nuances or require standardization within the conversation for consistent application.

#7

Create Questions

QUESTIONS are the structured prompts that guide the user through the process in a logical sequence. The questions should build on each other, informed by the user’s prior responses, and include optional answers where possible. This helps maintain simplicity and flow. When designing QUESTIONS, aim for clear, concise wording that keeps the process streamlined and reduces ambiguity.

#8

Define Final Result

The FINAL RESULT is the ultimate outcome generated by the GPT based on user inputs. It represents a cohesive and structured output, such as a detailed customer avatar, brand vision, or other branding component. This result should embody the insights gathered and align closely with the objectives set in the PRIMARY DIRECTIVE.

#9

Create Conversation Starters

CONVERSATION STARTERS are the initial prompts or openers used to engage the user and kickstart the GPT’s interaction. These openers serve as entry points for the user to share relevant information, set context, and clarify goals. The tone should align with the GPT’s purpose; for instance, friendly and encouraging for brand-building tools, or professional and insightful for more technical topics. Effective Conversation Starters should be inviting yet straightforward, guiding users to provide the essential input needed to set the conversation on the right path.

#10

Upload Knowledge Documents

The KNOWLEDGE section encompasses the background information and expertise that the GPT draws upon to provide accurate, relevant responses. This includes foundational concepts, industry standards, terminology, and any specific methodologies related to the GPT’s function. In a Custom GPT, the Knowledge section ensures the GPT can deliver specialized advice tailored to user needs. For AI-Branding Academy GPTs, we recommend uploading the expanded Definition for each framework used, your Brand Pillars (or AI-Brand Blueprint), and any and all database information needed to guide the GPT results.

#11

Generate Final Output

Compile all gathered information into the Custom GPT’s structured format, including Name, Description, Instructions, and Knowledge Documentation. Use the AIBA Standard Custom GPT Template to compile the necessary information.

TEMPLATE: AIBA Standard Custom GPT (Google Doc)

#12

Choose Your Production Method

AI Article Writing Process

AI Article Writing Process

The Process

The AI Article Writing Process is a comprehensive framework that outlines how writers can effectively integrate artificial intelligence into their creative workflow while maintaining originality and quality. It defines strategies for balancing human creativity with AI-powered tools, ensuring that the final content is engaging, valuable, and aligned with your unique voice. This guide provides a roadmap for using AI to enhance your writing process rather than relying on it entirely, thus avoiding the common pitfalls of producing bland, unoriginal content.

The AI Article Writing Process serves as a strategic tool to help writers harness the power of AI while preserving their creativity and originality. In a world where AI-generated content is becoming increasingly prevalent, maintaining control over your creative process will help you stand out and deliver valuable, authentic content.

Process Outline

Resources

#1

Write Your Best Article Ever or Transcribe Your Best Presentation

Start by writing a draft that captures your ideas, insights, and expertise. This draft should reflect your unique perspective on the topic. It’s essential to do this part manually, as AI is not equipped to create truly original concepts.

Alternatively, if you regularly give presentations, you can make a very genuine (if slightly more casual) version of your writing style simply by transcribing a presentation or video you created. You can use Descript to transcribe accurately, or Click Here to view a video that shows you how to grab and convert Youtube captions into text.

#2

Assess Your Writing Style

Now that you have an example of your work, you can use the article or transcription with the following prompt in order to create a writing style that can be duplicated/mimicked by AI. Use ChatGPT or Claude along with the following prompt:

Review the following text and analyze the writing style of the author/speaker. Create a summary and feature list that can be utilized by AI to mimic the writing style of the author to create new articles in the future.

[PASTE ARTICLE OR TRANSCRIPTION]

#3

Create Detailed Instructions for Your New Article

When you engage AI, give it precise and detailed instructions. Instead of vague prompts like “Write an article about…,” offer clear, focused directives such as “Explain how AI can improve SEO without compromising content quality.” The more specific your instructions, the better the AI will perform.

Example Instructions

The article is about why email marketing is still very effective and will continue to grow in importance as other marketing methods like paid media, social media, and SEO are swinging wildly in effectiveness. Then explain how the best way to “future proof” your business is to “privatize your following” through email list building. Then explain that the first step in this process is to create your own Welcome Email Series, and explain what that is and the different types based on the following information:

A Welcome Email Series is a sequence of automated emails sent to new subscribers or customers to introduce them to a brand, its offerings, and key values. The goal of this series is to create a positive first impression, establish trust, and nurture a long-term relationship by providing helpful, engaging, and informative content from the beginning. Typically spread over a few days or weeks, the emails gradually familiarize the subscriber with the brand, encourage engagement, and often include incentives like discounts or exclusive content to motivate immediate action. Types of Welcome Email Series: Introduction Series: A basic series focused on introducing the brand, its mission, and values. It aims to establish brand awareness and trust by sharing who the brand is and what it stands for. Value Proposition Series: This series highlights the core value propositions of the brand’s products or services, explaining why they are essential. It showcases the brand’s unique offerings and addresses customer pain points. Engagement-Focused Series: Designed to encourage interaction, this series invites subscribers to engage with the brand by responding to emails, participating in quizzes, or offering feedback. It aims to build stronger connections early on. Brand Storytelling Series: A series that tells the brand’s origin story, values, and vision in a more personal and emotional way. It aims to create an emotional bond with the subscriber, fostering long-term loyalty. Social Proof Series: This type of series builds credibility by sharing testimonials, case studies, and user-generated content. It establishes trust by demonstrating the success and satisfaction of previous customers. Action-Oriented Series: A series that encourages the subscriber to take immediate action, such as making a purchase, signing up for a trial, or downloading an e-book. It is focused on driving conversions from the outset. Education-Focused Series: This series provides valuable, actionable content that educates subscribers on how to use the product or service effectively. It’s ideal for brands offering complex or high-involvement products that require guidance. Onboarding Series: A structured series aimed at guiding new customers through the setup or usage of a product or service. It includes step-by-step instructions and resources to ensure smooth onboarding and product adoption. Key Objectives of a Welcome Email Series: Build trust and brand awareness. Establish clear communication about the brand’s mission and values. Introduce the subscriber to key products or services. Drive engagement and interaction with the brand. Offer incentives, such as discounts or free resources, to encourage immediate action. Set expectations for future communications and engagement. Typical Structure: Welcome and Introduction: Greet the subscriber, express gratitude, and introduce the brand. Highlight of Offerings: Showcase popular or relevant products/services. Engagement Encouragement: Invite subscribers to follow on social media, explore resources, or offer feedback. Incentive or Offer: Provide a special discount or exclusive offer to prompt immediate action. Next Steps: Set expectations for future emails, encouraging further engagement and interaction. By choosing the right type of welcome email series based on the brand’s goals and audience, businesses can effectively nurture relationships, build loyalty, and drive future conversions.

Include some of these statistics in the article to support the claims:

ROI and Effectiveness Email marketing demonstrates an impressive return on investment and effectiveness compared to other channels: * Email marketing has an overall ROI of 4,200%. * For every dollar spent on email marketing, businesses can expect an average return of $40. * 60% of consumers report making a purchase as a result of a promotional email. * 87% of brands say that email marketing contributes to their business’ success. Growth and Adoption Despite the rise of other digital marketing methods, email marketing continues to grow in importance: * The global value of email marketing is projected to grow from $7.5 billion in 2020 to $17.9 billion by 2027. * 87% of marketers plan to increase their investment in email marketing. * 79% of marketers include email within their top three marketing channels. Comparison to Other Channels Email marketing outperforms other digital marketing methods in several key areas: * Email is 40 times more effective than social media for customer acquisition. * 4.24% of email traffic leads to purchases, compared to only 2.49% of search traffic and 0.59% of social traffic. * In a Statista report, 73% of company respondents and 75% of agency respondents rated email marketing as an excellent digital marketing channel for ROI. Consumer Behavior and Preferences Consumers continue to engage with and prefer email marketing: * 50.7% of email subscribers make a purchase from a marketing email at least once per month. * 59% of respondents say marketing emails influence their purchase decisions. * Email is considered the most personal method of brand communication by 74% of Baby Boomers, 72% of Gen X, 64% of Millennials, and 60% of Gen Z users.
